Ykee Benda hints at officially marrying his girlfriend next year

Mpala Records boss Ykee Benda has announced his intentions to formalize his relationship with his girlfriend next year, explaining the importance of balancing his music career with personal growth.

In an interview with the press, the self-styled Kireka Boy noted that while music is significant to his life, it is equally important to nurture the other aspects of life.

2025 will be a busy year for the industry with many musicians scheduling their events. As they continue to plan on how they will push their music, the 32-year-old sees it as a perfect time to walk his woman down the aisle.

“Getting married is also important. When will we do the concerts? We have to get married too and build the other side of our lives because no one does music to death. In life, you need someone who will stay with you when you get old, that is so important,” he said.

Ykee Benda officially unveiled his new woman only identified as Emily in 2023, years after breaking up with his baby mama, Julie Batenga. The two had been in a relationship for a long time but broke up after their engagement.

Their split was complicated with Julie being pregnant and expecting their son, Dante. While their love story was an inspiration to many, the estranged couple failed to make up due to irreconcilable differences, forcing them to co-parent their son.

“I see my child all the time. We sorted our indifferences with the mother and we are good friends. I see him at least twice a month depending on my schedule. Right now, I’m the one who limits myself from being with him because I’m always busy,” he confirmed.

Ykee Benda has expressed his commitment to his current partner with signs of dedicating himself to building a strong and faithful relationship. He has further advised his fellow men on avoiding infidelity, emphasizing the value of honesty in a relationship.

“If my friends ever invite me for a wedding and I invest my money, spend my entire day with them from the church to reception, and then after I find you with another girl, I will tell your wife. We have invested our money in that wedding so you have to cut down on the womanizing,” Ykee Benda said, as he denied being a cheater.
