In a shocking turn of events, Goodlyfe’s Weasel Manizo has threatened to take his own life if Nobert Events does not pay up his share of the money that he is supposed to get from his recently concluded sold-out concert at Hotel Africana.
At the start of this week, a disturbing video made rounds on social media showing Weasel physically assaulting the promoter behind his concluded ‘Memories Of Goodlyfe’ for allegedly failing to honor their agreement and pay him for his concert.
In a phone interview, Weasel Manizo who was sobbing terribly narrated how he invested his time and money into the concert and when he asked for his share, he was allegedly treated harshly and told that he would not be getting a single penny.
“I can’t sing for free. He says he just helped me because everyone hates the Mayanja family. He should pay me my money. There is no way he could treat me like that. He is telling me that I will not get any money. I will kill myself; I swear I’m going to end my life because everyone keeps treating me bad. I’m a good person. I wish I was the one who died in Radio’s place. I will kill myself. I sang and many fans enjoyed my show, I need to get paid,” Weasel revealed.
Following the scuffle, Norbat Events has given his side of the story recalling how he decided to take on Weasel Manizo’s event when everyone had given up on him.
He allegedly invested a lot of money for the show to happen only to get beaten during their reconciliation meeting when Norbat demanded his cut from the table sales during the concert.
“We had an agreement and I was supposed to pay him Ugx. 40 million. I’d given him 20M and we had agreed that we would each get 50% from the table sales. They sold 31 tables for 93M. We used the 3m to buy stuff for the late Radio’s mum and I was entitled to the 45M from the balance. They only paid me 12M.
According to Norbat, the money from the table sales was being handled by Sandra Teta, Weasel Manizo’s wife who also acts as his manager. People like Bebe Cool, Sheilah Gashumba, and city tycoon Ham among others all gave her the money.

“He is demanding for his 20M balance but they did not pay my cut for the tables yet I invested a lot of my money in that concert for it to happen. They even confiscated my car because I had given it out as security to the creditor who wanted to sabotage the show. All this because of Weasel Manizo.
According to Promoter Balunywa, the spokesperson of the Promoters Association, he hinted at holding a meeting, to find a way forward.
