This year’s festival, themed “Afro-Galactic Carnival,” is set to take place from November 14 to 17, 2024, at the Jinja Nile Resort in Bukaya, Njeru district, with an anticipated attendance of over 10,000 guests.
Since its establishment in 2015, the Nyege Nyege Festival has served as a prominent platform for artistic expression and cultural diversity, attracting thousands of attendees and performers from around the world.
The Nyege Nyege Festival has significantly impacted various economic sectors in the country, including transport, tourism, hospitality, media, communication, and entertainment. Nyege Nyege continues to demonstrate how Ugandan community engagement, music, and artistic expression can inspire an entire generation, benefiting many directly or indirectly.

Last year’s festival spanned over 50 acres across three locations along the Nile River, including the Jinja Golf Course, Source of the Nile, and the Jinja Showground, attracting more than 7,000 attendees. The event featured over seven stages, more than 300 artists, and numerous exhibitions.
