Rapper Da Agent has opened up about one of the lowest points in his life when he had to carry the dead body of his firstborn daughter in a bag to his ancestral grounds for burial just because he could not afford a proper means of transport there.
In an interview with Galaxy TV, Da Agent revealed that he was informed about his daughter’s death by his girlfriend just a day after her birth.
It was one of the most heartbreaking moments in his life because of how much he had planned and shopped for her arrival.
When he was called to pick up the body from the hospital, he had no option but to turn up with a backpack to transport it to Mityana. Seated with the dead body in a bag, Da Agent remembers sitting quietly in the taxi with his bag to avoid alerting fellow passengers about what he was carrying.
Unfortunately, we ran out of money while still in Bulenga but had to board to Mubende. We were stuck with the dead body on the road for hours because we were waiting for fuel tracks to transport us further,” he narrated.
They finally arrived at their destination late at night at around 2 AM and found everyone else sleeping just because they had not earlier communicated that they would be arriving with the dead body of the infant. He had to sleep outside in the cold with the body of his daughter still in the bag.
However, instead of letting the devastating situation consume him, it helped him discover his inner strength and transformed him into a more mature and responsible person.
