Kemi Sera left netizens worried after videos surfaced on several social media platforms depicting her crying and begging her countrymen to help raise money to leave South Africa where she had allegedly gone to look for greener pastures.
Kemi Sera narrated that all her problems started when she got romantically involved with a man who ended up lying and convincing her to travel to South Africa, promising her a better life.
Armed with all her travel documents, they landed in the foreign country in March last year and just after a month of being together, the yet-to-be-identified man ran away with her passport, identification card, and the money she had on her.
After going through a lot, Kemi Sera reached out to her longtime friend, Mary Bata with whom they had fallen out while she was in Uganda.
After explaining to her the sad situation, she was living in, the ‘Bimuli’ hitmaker promised to connect her to her aids in South Africa.
“She told me to go to her friends where she would base to help me. She kept sending me financial aid through her friends. She was feeding me and taking care of me all this time,” she said.
Kemi Sera revealed that when Mary Bata sent her money to finally work on the documents to have her flown back to Uganda, she, unfortunately, landed on robbers who shot at her and stole all the money that she was meant to pay for the process.

The singer who showed off an injured palm from the alleged shooting revealed that she used the money to cover her medical bills since she couldn’t access the government hospitals because they would be asking her for the legal documents that she did not have.
“Mary Bata started paying for me in a private hospital until I felt that I was bothering her. She is a young woman with a growing family to feed. So, I’m calling out to all my fellow Ugandans to please help me
Kemi Sera knelt and cried to all Ugandans, especially Maama Fiina who has made a name in financially coming through for women in tough situations.
“Eddy Kenzo, Balaam, Abitex, Susan Makula and all my fans who can help me, please help me come back to my country. Please reach out to Mary Bata, she will help you get to me, please help me because I’m suffering,” Kemi Sera begged.
