The Uganda Speaker of Parliament and Bukedea district woman member of parliament has directed the transfer of two traffic policers Abdallah Tusiime and Charles Makawa to the the parliamentary police directorate.
The speaker’s plea comes in light of the two officers’ diligence while executing their duties on the Kampala streets.
Yesterday Abdallah Tusiime was recognized by the Uganda Police, for his dedication to his work, and given several privileges including one of his sons getting a bursary.
Subsequently, in today’s parliamentary seating, the speaker Anita Among appreciated Tusiime’s efforts, and suggested he and the other officers who who was assaulted by a woman while executing his duties be recruited to the parliamentary police, as a token of appreciation.

The concerned parties vowed to communicate the offer to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to see that the speaker’s directive was actualized.
