Music promoter Musinguzi Abbey alias Abitex Promotions has earlier today been released from prison on court bail.
A week back, Abitex was arrested in light of the Freedom city stampede before being remanded to Kitalya prison.
As investigations intensified, the event MC Elvis Jjuuko Francis was also on Monday apprehended and charged in court before being remanded.
Earlier today, the pair was arraigned before the Makindye Court grade one magistrate Iga Adiru for their case hearing.
Abitex who was earlier charged with nine offenses of rash and negligent acts was charged with four more charges to make it 13.
The promoter and his MC, Jjuuko, are now accused with 13 charges of hasty and careless behavior that resulted in the deaths of 11 persons and injuries to two more at the Freedom City mall in Makindye-Ssabagabo.

Following the review of their bail requests, Abitex and Jjuuko were freed on a UGX 2M cash bond.
Their sureties were also instructed to sign Shs20m non-cash bonds before being told to appear in court again on February 7, 2023.
