Musician Allan Toniks, real name is Allan Ampaire, has called out socialite Sheilah Gashumba for promoting foreign musicians while downplaying local talents.
Yesterday, Sheilah Gashumba was one of the Ugandan notable figures to add their voice on the Diamond Platnumz lavish treatment during his visit to Uganda for a performance at the Coffee Marathon in Ntungamo, Uganda.
In her submission, Sheilah linked Diamond’s flashy treatment to his branding, before claiming that no Ugandan musician can match his performance and style.
She made it known that Uganda may never get a Diamond Platnumz collaboration, urging local artists to learn from his way of life, rather than fighting him.

Looks like we will never get a Diamond Platinumz collaboration with a Ugandan artist!!! But it all goes back to BRANDING!!! I love Ugandan artists but none of them can put up a show like Diamond; from performance, style etc !! Sometimes we have to accept some people are better than us and instead of fighting them, we can learn from them!!
Sheilah’s claims generated social media criticism, with Allan Toniks being the latest to call her out for always siding with foreign creatives while dragging local artists in the mud.

We are forever great full & appreciative for the awesome work. Uganda owes you a debt for the contribution to the growth for the arts & entertainment of other countries into Uganda the country u call home…While putting down Ugandans.
