Renowned music producer Musoke Martin, widely known as Artin Pro, has broken his silence in response to recent allegations linked to his collaboration with controversial artist Uncle Chumi, also known as Mushabe Crek Haidare.
In a public statement released, Artin clarified the circumstances surrounding his involvement in the production of Chumi’s track “Who”, stating that he was initially hesitant to work with the artist but eventually agreed to volunteer his services after being told the project was supported by a sponsor.
I undertake projects for various reasons – sometimes for commercial gain, but often to uplift and support emerging talent,” Martin explained. “Motivated by this spirit and my own humble beginnings, I agreed to volunteer my services on this occasion.
Artin’s statement comes in the wake of growing online speculation and circulating content that he says has caused concern among his family, clients, and professional peers.
This is after Chumi claimed that Artin Pro touched her inappropriately during one of their studio sessions recently.

Such claims may appear trivial to some, but I take them seriously, particularly when they threaten my professional reputation and legacy, he added.
The statement took a direct turn as Martin addressed Chumi herself, warning that her actions could carry legal and reputational consequences if not rectified.
He urged her to issue a public apology, noting that while the situation may have been intended as a joke by some, he views it as a serious affront to his character.
If this matter was intended in jest, I assure you that to me, it is no laughing matter – it is an attack on my reputation and legacy,” Martin stated. There may still be an opportunity for a sincere and public apology.
This is the latest in a string of controversies surrounding Uncle Chumi, who has previously faced criticism over public remarks perceived as derogatory toward DJs and other industry professionals.
