Swangz Avenue signee Azawi has come out and challenged Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa’s idea of funding a music duel between Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone.
Since Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa expressed his desire to fund a music battle between Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool, he has been overly criticised by several music lovers and stakeholders, the most recent being Azawi.
While appearing in an interview with NBS After5 show, Azawi expressed her disappointment with the Deputy Speaker noting that he can do better than the decision he is yet to make.
Azawi noted that instead of the Deputy Speaker injecting the money into Bebe Cool – Jose Chameleone’s music battle, he should rather invest in budding musicians, who are toiling to make a name in the music industry.
Azawi added that Bebe Cool and Jose Chameleone are established musicians, who have obtained whatever they wanted in the music industry hence it is high time to let young musicians flourish as well.
She went on to challenge Bebe Cool’s submission that their record labels lack funding to support young talents, questioning whether the Swangz Avenue proprietors Julius Kyazze and Benon Mugumbye were musicians or had chunks of money to establish the record company.
The self-proclaimed “Queen of Vibes” went on to dilute Bebe Cool’s claims that he reaped dust in the music industry, challenging him to shed light on why he steadfastly refused to put down his working tools in the music business.
