Over the weekend, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba flagged off the CECAFA Senior Women’s Challenge Cup at the Jinja-based Kakindu Stadium.
The ceremony which happened on Sunday was graced by a few musicians who thrilled revelers leaving them asking for more.
However, Gagamel boss Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool’s performance was cut short by the event organizers upon realizing he was going off-topic.
According to a video clip obtained by this website, Bebe Cool who was invited to perform at the ceremony resorted to political preachings, going beyond the time planned for him.
This compelled the event MC to intervene and cut short Bebe Cool’s speech by asking revelers to give the singer a round of applause before urging him to stop and give other people a chance to speak.
Bebe Cool who was evidently rubbed the wrong way urged the MC to let him finish his submission, but all was in vain, and walked majestically back to his seat.
The flagged-off Championship will be played from 1st June to 11th of the same month at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Countries like Uganda, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan, among others, are expected to be part of the contest.
