A renowned car dealer identified as Dan accuses singer Catherine Kusasira of selling him a car with URA issues and refusing to refund his money.
According to Dan, three years back he was approached to buy a Landcruiser UBF 510S. The car in question was Catherine Kusasira’s car, an alleged gift from the president.
When the car dealer tried to seek detailed information about the car, Kusasira reportedly assured them they had the right to sell it since it was her gift, and the card was in her name.
Dan reveals that he handed Catherine Kusasira 200 million in cash and immediately put the car up for sale. To his dismay, however, every potential buyer turned down the opportunity to purchase the car. He recounts one buyer candidly notifying him the car had significant issues and had to visit URA.
“When we went there, it was indeed true and advised us to go back to the person that sold it to us,” he said.
Dan and his team contacted Catherine Kusasira and she promised that in one month, the president would be giving her Ugx 200m for her to refund the car dealer and collect it back. Since last year, she has never paid back their money.
Dan further explained that when she first approached him, Catherine was not open about why she was selling the car. She alleged that she urgently needed money and could not afford the car costs since it consumed a lot of fuel.
Dan noted that on several occasions he has tried to reach out to the singer to refund his money in vain. When she did not take action, they dragged her to court but she did not show up with an excuse that she was sick.
“I even went to her show thinking she would pay me off the money she got but she told me the show had flopped. I want my money. We kept her car safely and it is still in good working condition,” he said.
Dan revealed that he had given Catherine Kusasira just a month and if she didn’t present the money, his lawyers would force her out of her hiding.
