Chozen Blood has come out to address his strained friendship and the controversy surrounding leaked audio featuring Winnie Nwagi, which sparked speculation about their relationship. In an interview, Chozen revealed the backstory behind the audio and apologized for his part in the situation.
According to the ‘Sharp Shooter’ hitmaker, the drama began when his then-girlfriend became insecure about his close friendship with Winnie Nwagi, whom he had collaborated with on ‘Yitayo’ four years ago. Later, the couple had a huge fight which ultimately ended their relationship.
After the breakup, the ex-girlfriend began attacking Winnie, prompting Chozen to advise her to ignore. However, the ex-girlfriend retaliated by leaking a private conversation between Chozen and Winnie Nwagi, making it seem like she (Winnie) was begging for Chozen Blood’s attention.
In her heart, she thought there was something going on between Winnie and I. So, one day we had our own private relationship issues, things which were not even connected to Winnie and we separated. She instead turned around and started attacking Winnie. She kept sending her messages and calling her from time to time. I talked to and advised her to ignore her and when she saw that she (Winnie) was not getting any response yet she wanted war, she decided to release these voice notes. But even the voice note she released was in no way painting that we were lovers, she just acted out of emotions, Chozen said.
Chozen Blood took responsibility for the situation and apologized to Winnie Nwagi, acknowledging that his actions contributed to the souring of their friendship.
Although they are not as close as they once were, Chozen Blood expressed his desire to mend their relationship in the future.

For that, I apologized to Winnie personally and it affected our friendship somehow but I know we shall get over that as true friends. Friendship tests all levels; I miss her and I hope things one day will get better between us. I’m to be held accountable for whatever happened, he revealed.
