Churchill Ssentamu, Bobi Wine’s nephew, eyes 2026 Parliamentary seat

Makerere University Guild President, Churchill James Ssentamu, has hinted at a desire for the parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2026 general elections.

Churchill, the son of Chairman Nyanzi and a nephew of Bobi Wine, made his desire known during an interview with Mr. Henrie on Deep Talk.

In their candid conversation, Churchill revealed that he was only waiting for God’s guidance to pursue the big seat in 2026 and hopes to be in parliament next year as a legislator.

When asked what constituency he was eyeing, Churchill noted that he would make it public when the time comes. He, however, made it clear that he will not be contesting in Kawempe South as his father is aspiring to represent the area.

“I have a decision to make, but I do not think Parliament is too big a place for me. If God wills, we shall take it forward. I have the desire to do so in the upcoming 2026 general elections,” he said to Mr. Henrie.
