The court has today dismissed the cases that were levied against dancehall singer Cindy Sanyu.
Cindy Sanyu’s case occurred in July last year, and the involved parties were dragged to court on cases linked to violence.
On the night of 15th December 2023 after the Blu*3 concert at Naguru Skyz, Cindy Sanyu teamed up with colleagues to have a fun-filled night after a successful show.
Midway through their celebrations, a physical altercation ensued, which saw Kevin Nyembo and colleagues assault Dr. Luggya Tonny Stone hence inflicting bodily harm.
Following the physical altercation Kevin Nyembo and his friends allegedly made off with UGX 11,500,000 belonging to Dr. Luggya and were subsequently arraigned before the City Hall Court in Kampala.

Based on the court case, it was alleged that Cindy Sanyu and her business partner Gabriel Ramathan encouraged Kevin Nyembo to assault Dr. Luggya.

Following several court appearances, today court dropped charges on Cindy Sanyu, declaring her innocent.
While addressing members of the press, overjoyed Cindy revealed that cases against her had been dropped, but other parties involved would still be required to appear in court for justice to prevail.
