Musician Gerald Muwonge, widely known as Clever J, survived being beaten up by an angry mob for not performing at a booked event.
According to reports, Clever J was booked to perform at the Easter Sunday event at the Kalmax Club in Kibiribiri, Mukono.
However, Clever J snubbed the show, only turning up on Easter Monday. His performance added an extra layer of disappointment, as he performed a few songs and attempted to exit the hangout spot.
The visibly enraged mob was so quick to surround him and forced him to perform all his songs until late, requesting him to respect their time and money.

Clever J respected the decision to avoid any severe consequences and extended his performance hours, starting with his songs “Manzi Wa Nani” and “Mama.”
