Nina Roz, Daddy Andre

Daddy Andre stands by Nina Roz after Police disrupt family visit

Musician and audio producer Daddy Andre has come to Nina Roz’s defense following the recent clash with the Ugandan police at her parents’ home in Ssembabule.

Contrary to what was reported, Daddy Andre revealed to Sanyuka TV viewers that Nina Roz had gone to get blessings from his father ahead of her political ambition. Nina Roz officially launched her bid to be a Woman MP aspirant for the district, and the police thought she had come to campaign, an allegation that Daddy Andre strongly denied.

“The police men thought she had come to campaign, which was not the case. That stage will also come and they should wait for it. The position she is going for is for Woman MP. They should not think she has come to fight against them because they have their win posts,” he said.

A section of social media users alleged that Nina Roz was aware of the potential outcome of her actions and knew the police would retaliate in that way; However, she still went ahead with the stunt to garner public attention. Daddy Andre further explained that Nina had spent a long time away from her hometown and wanted to use this chance to officially inform her parents about her political ambitions.

Nina Roz,

“That thought process is for the people who do not know her. They are right in their own way but the truth is, she had gone for blessings. Nina last visited that place after our Kukyala. She takes time to see her parents because artists are very busy people. Most times they meet in town when they are all in a hurry. This time, she had gone for that specifically,” Daddy Andre said.

Daddy Andre also showed his support for Nina Roz’s decision to join elective politics, citing her courage and leadership qualities.

Nina Roz faced the wrath of the police last week after they clashed with the Ugandan police in her hometown. Nina Roz had gone to her father’s home claiming that she was meeting her parents, but in the compound, there were tents, chairs, and a public speaking set. The police assumed that she had come to campaign and were quick to disperse the people from the compound.

The police ordered the crowd to vacate the premises, advising the family to get authorization from security organs that permit them to have people over.
