Singers Kalifah Aganaga, Daddy Andre, and Kusiima Irene were yesterday Monday 12 April 2022, successfully nominated to contend for the Vice President position in the forthcoming Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) elections.
The trio picked up their nomination forms at the National Theatre on Monday afternoon, before hinting at their manifestos.

Andrew Ojambo famously known as Daddy Andre in his brief speech vowed to work hand in hand with the yet-to-be-elected UMA committee to see that Ugandan music is at the top-notch.
On the other hand, Bad Character chief Sadat Mukiibi, alias Kalifah Aganaga with his campaign slogan, “Webasiiga Kazambi nzize okusiigawo ka langi,” promised to develop the Ugandan music industry. Hanson Baliruno and Kusiima Irene’s plans for UMA were as well projected toward development and prosperity. The latter is the only woman in the vice presidential race.
There was a rumor that Bebe Cool’s son Allan Hendricks Ssali was eying the vice-presidential seat. However, apart from his manifesto shared on his social media, there is no more proof that he was nominated by UMA electoral commission.
We must say, information regarding UMA nomination and other proceedings within the association is scanty since the digital platforms meant to share such details are not put into use.
