Popular businessman Don Chris has come out to strongly deny rumors that he is romantically involved with socialite Sipapa’s ex-girlfriend and singer Brown Shugar, despite the mounting evidence suggesting otherwise.
The controversy was sparked by a video that was shared by the singer online harboring a tattoo of a man’s face, fueling speculation about their steamy affair.
Don Chris in an interview insisted that he and Brown Shugar are just merely friends and that he has never been in a romantic relationship with her.
He attributed the tattoo as a sign of appreciation, stating that people often go that far for individuals who may have made a positive impact in their lives.
“Many people have such tattoos. Sometimes it’s because they like what you do or how much you’ve helped them and getting a tattoo is the only way they can pay you back. But I didn’t know about the tattoo, I just saw it that day too. It might not even be me but AI,” he stated.
Brown Shugar released a compromising video of the two kissing on social media, officially making their relationship official. Don Chris, however, remains adamant that they are not in love but share a platonic bond.
‘I know her but she is just a friend. I have just survived a heartbreak, so I can’t just jump into any relationships now, he insisted.
Don Chris’ flashy lifestyle and history of lavish spending have led to numerous associations with various women in showbiz, including band singer, Sasha Brighton.
He denied the allegations, stating his preference for mature, financially stable women who value building each other up, rather than seeking to exploit.
“I love nyash, a good-looking woman with a fair color, plus money. You have to get a mature woman with money, not these broke girls that you keep parading on me. When you both have money, you can only build each other but not steal. Plus, I do not want a woman who is in the limelight,” he said.
