Esther and Ezekiel Reveal The Challenges They Encountered in Canadian Schools

Singing siblings Esther and Ezekiel have opened up about the challenges they encountered after enrolling in Canadian schools.

In December 2020 Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira joined their mother gospel singer Julie Mutesasira in Canada where she had relocated from.

The pair immediately set out for school in an effort to further their studies, as well as groom their singing careers.

Prior to leaving Uganda, Esther Mutesasira was in senior three while her young brother Ezekiel Mutesasira was in primary seven.

However, they had a few difficulties when they first started school, which took some time to get accustomed to.

The pair admitted during one of their interviews that they struggled with language barriers since Canadian English was spoken too fast for them to comprehend which necessitated some retakes for Esther.

The transition to utilising laptops to capture notes was also difficult for Esther Mutesasira because she was used to writing in books in Uganda.

Furthermore, Ezekiel struggled because French was required starting in grade nine and below, but Esther had already passed that grade and was in grade ten.
