Renowned rapper Feffe Bussi has shared his words of wisdom with fellow artists, advising them to stay away from envy and jealousy which he believes are clear destructive forces.
During a sit-down interview at the Millennials For Christ podcast with Apostle Nalebo, Feffe Bussi explained that the key to achieving success as a musician is to stop comparing oneself to others, but instead be patient and trust God’s timing and plan for their success.
Feffe Bussi also reminded the audience that the artists they see and admire are not special or supernatural beings, but humans who happen to have been blessed and given an opportunity by God at that moment.
If you are an artist who is still jealous of another artist having a hit song to the point that you want to switch off the TV when it plays, just let it go.
You will only succeed if you understand that the God that gifted them with a breakthrough will surely visit your doorstep too. The person you are seeing on television is not supernatural or better than you but it is God who has given them a chance, and he will give you too. You just have to be prepared when he comes through,” Feffe Bussi revealed.
Way back when Feffe Bussi was joining the music industry, he was confident that he was talented, and with his faith in God plus celebrity status at school, he believed he would hit the studio and release just a few songs before his career took off by storm. Little did he know that he would spend more than three years there.
Just as I believed in myself so much, there are people I despised thinking they had no talent like Victor Kamenyo and Gravity Omutujju. I really thought they had no chance of a breakthrough. I swore that Victor Kamenyo would never be a celebrity. It took me a long time for me to believe it, he said.
He later joined Gravity Omutujju’s Trouble Entertainment and together, they had a bitter fight with Victor Kamenyo who allegedly copied Omutujju’s style of music, using the same voice as him and at the same time sneaking dissing him in his songs.
The two used to disrespect Kamenyo until he got his breakthrough. According to Feffe Bussi, Gravity had gone for a performance in a certain bar in Nakulabye but unfortunately, his performance did not go as expected.
After he stepped off stage, Kamenyo came on to perform and the rich man who was in the audience appreciated his talent and decided to finance his career with an aim of outshining Gravity.

Out of nowhere, the person we were despising became a big deal and even had a sold-out concert in just the shortest time. He started driving a big and expensive car and if you are the kind of person with a wicked heart, you would bewitch him straight away, he said.
Feffe Bussi revealed that this situation taught him the biggest lesson of his life, which was to always trust God’s timing and not despise others’ humble beginnings.
