Rapper Feffe Bussi has explained why he was not in attendance during the burial ceremony of Gravity Omutujju’s mother despite them being friends.
The two rappers were close while growing up with Feffe staying in Nabulagala and Gravity in Nakulabye city suburbs. They even attended the same schools since primary one and frequented each other’s homes.
Me and Gravity go way back. I used to go to her mum’s place and every time she would give me food because she thought I was not eating well, he said.
They, however, ended their friendship due to their irreconcilable differences, stemming from the music industry.
Despite them not being on talking terms anymore, netizens expected Feffe Bussi to be among the first people to travel to Fort Portal for the burial of Gravity’s mum, Kajoina Jane but he was nowhere to be seen.
The media reported that he did not show up because of their beef but speaking to Apostle Nalebo, Feffe Bussi denied the allegations.
It was not about the music or anything because he is my brother. She was a mother to me. There was no bad feeling but I just did not manage to go to Fort Portal. At that point, I do not need to love him to bury his mother. It is just a sad moment that no one needs to be in, he said.
While many people expected him to reach out to Gravity publicly to show that he was grieving together with his former friend, Feffe Bussi claims he instead called him on his phone and sent his condolences.

I felt so bad for him and his sisters. I know his entire family and it was devastating news. I managed to call Gravity when it happened and sent my condolences but I did not manage to go for the burial. This was not done out of bad faith. I reached out and I still send my condolences and pray that God continues to comfort him, he said.
