Fik Fameica Explains Why He Doesn’t Ask for Music Collaborations

Rapper Fik Fameica left everyone stunned after he claimed that he does not ask for collaborations from fellow artists despite having many of them to his name.

The self-styled Fresh Bwoy, born Shafic Walukagga is one of the few youngsters in the game who have had a chance to collaborate with big artists across the continent.

Fik Fameica is one of the few new school artists whose music resonates well with the youth and it makes it easier for an international artist who wants to tap into such an audience to team up with him.

And for the years he has been in the music industry and the success he has attained, it is unrealistic for him to go out begging for these collaborations.

Fik Fameica who infuses Afro-Pop and dancehall in a unique and uptown luga-flow style is known for his beats and lyrics, making him a favorite among music lovers.

Unlike fellow musicians who mostly rely on connections to get collaborations, especially from artists outside Uganda, Fik Fameica revealed that his good music markets him hence attracting people to come and work with him, not the other way round.

I do not ask for them. It is very easy to tell that I’m not an artist who is struggling and hustling with his music, going by the way I carry myself and live my life. You can really tell a struggling musician but my music speaks for itself. I have very many international collaborations because people outside know me and feel my vibe, Fik Fameica noted.

Years back, Nigerian Superstar Patoranking whom he featured on ‘Omu Bwatti’ came out to publicly declare that Fik Fameica was the future because of his vision and ability to know what he was doing.
