TV personality and events emcee, MC Kats has come out to confirm that Fille has been discharged from rehabilitation where she had been admitted to curb her drug addiction problem that she has battled for many years.
The NBS After5 presenter who is also the singer’s baby daddy revealed that she had been committed to the facility for the past six months and at the time of her discharge, she had stabilized and was doing well.
She has stabilized and I’m happy because it has not been easy. She had committed for 6 months and we thank all those that have helped us. We thank all those that have helped us get through, our family, the councilors, Eddy Kenzo and the Federation, mummy among others,” MC Kats expressed his joy.
According to MC Kats, Fille’s addiction started from the stress caused by the constant fights they had during their on-and-off relationship. Someone invited her over saying they would help her get over the stress and introduced her to use Ice (crystal meth) and crack; a very addictive drug linked to chronic physical and mental health problems.
Since then Fille has been battling the addiction and has constantly faced a lot of judgment from the public for quite some time but MC Kats believes it is a bit unfair because her situation can happen to anyone who is influenced by bad company.
Anyone can be influenced by friends around you suggesting you use the drugs yet your head is too weak for it. You should stop pointing fingers at people because they were not born this way. It is something they just learnt,” he said.
Earlier this year, MC Kats came out and publicly dragged Eddy Kenzo and the entire federation saying they had abandoned Fille in the rehab center yet Fille was a member. He claimed they had sidelined her and ignored her situation after they got money from the government.
He, however, takes back his statement, saying he said all this out of frustration and anger based on the rumors he had heard before interacting with the federation leaders.
When you listen to rumors before getting facts from the source, you crash. I had to sit down with Eddy Kenzo and have the discussion where he laid all the strategies down for me and now I know what they are up to; only that they want to do things away from the media and present it to you after it is done, he said.
MC Kats further encouraged people, especially artists to seek help if they are fighting any addictions.

Very many people have been affected by this and I have so far helped three people. I encourage everyone around the affected people to know that there is treatment and a second chance; do not abandon these kids on the streets. Take them to rehab because it hurts seeing someone you love unstable and doing things that you know they wouldn’t be doing if it wasn’t under the influence. There is hope in so many rehabs, he said.
