On 28 March 2025, former WBS TV presenter Straka Mwezi, real name Pamela Otim, was evicted from her rental unit over accrued.
In the early 2000s, Straka Mwezi was a household name, and her show, The Late Night Show, held a top spot in the entertainment industry.
However, after over a decade of running the show, Straka quit her job before WBS TV went defunct. This marked Straka’s decline, as she failed to acquire a job at any prominent media outlet.
To secure the bag, Straka resorted to selling weight-loss products and hosting her shows on TikTok live broadcasts.
The most recent news regarding Straka is that she failed to pay her rent for five years, contrary to the tenants’ agreement, which saw her evicted from the Seeta Kiwanga-based property.

According to reports, Straka’s property was confiscated and taken to police, and she fled the premises with only her children.
