Frank Gashumba has defended his decision to marry his new wife, Patience Mutoni Malaika, revealing that he snubbed Kampala girls for the Lwemiyaga-rooted companion for a reason.
On Thursday, 15th May 2025, Frank Gashumba and Patience Mutoni Malaika officiated their marriage with an introduction ceremony in Sembabule District.
After the ceremony, Gashumba faced criticism over Patience’s age difference, and many had expected him to marry a high-status woman from Kampala.
Following the ceremony, Gashumba encountered backlash regarding the age disparity with Patience, as many anticipated that he would wed a woman of higher social standing from Kampala.
While defending his decision, Gashumba had no kind words for women criticizing his marriage, saying they are specifically marriage dropouts.

In relation to the age difference, Frank Gashumba questioned his detractors on whether they preferred him to engage with older women such as Annet Nandujja or Namirembe Bitamazire, emphasizing that Patience is of legal age.
He maintained that there were women in high-end locations like Bugolobi, Mbuya, Kololo, Ntinda, Munyoyo, among others, but he overlooked them all, marrying a woman from Sembabula.

Gashumba made it clear that the real value is hidden under, and his wife, Patience Mutoni Malaika, is a living example.
Furthermore, the businessman stated that he fulfilled his dowry obligations by paying Ugx 6 million and providing 12 cows, unlike other women whose dowry is measured in onions, tomatoes, and a piece of meat.
