Motivational speaker Frank Gashumba is bitter with critics questioning when his daughter, Sheilah Gashumba will bow to societal expectations and decide to get married and have kids
Speaking in her defense, the prominent businessman slammed all the people putting pressure on his daughter, emphasizing that marriage should not be dictated by the society. He believes every individual is free to make their own decisions without being intimidated or influenced by others.
Frank Gashumba further listed several influential yet rich people who have held back on starting families. His desire is to have his daughter financially stable before going down that path.
Personally, I have not married yet. Show me where in the Bible or Quran they say that a person is supposed to get married at a particular age. I keep telling girls not to get pregnant before they are financially unstable because of the many fake men. Why would you keep pressurizing her (Sheilah) to give birth? It is not what she wants.
Oprah, Kamala Harris, and I have a lot of presidents in Europe that I know that do not have children. But Africans are stuck on this mindset of giving birth. How can you want to leave behind a bloodline that you will not leave anything for. Everyone has their own life, why would you impose your choices onto other people, he said.
Previously, the Gash Glam CEO has flaunted a couple of her boyfriends and Frank Gashumba openly had issues with all of them. He previously revealed how he wouldn’t recognize any of her lovers until one of them took the bold step to ask for her hand in marriage and visit her family traditionally.
For now, he is focusing on guiding her daughter and making sure that she builds a life of her own, without having to depend on a man.

When you are raising a child, you guide her. I have never had to worry about when she is getting married, that has never happened. I just want her to live a financially stable life because men really disrespect poor women, Frank Gashumba noted.
