Fast-rising musician, Gloria Bugie has revealed that all her love songs are inspired by the Bible figures. For the one year she has been in the music industry, the soft-spoken singer has been known for her provocative way of dressing on and off stage, leaving followers questioning her values.
In a sit-down interview with Tindi Files, Gloria Bugie left everyone shocked after she revealed that she is a strong born-again Christian woman who refuses to be limited by expectations from society.
The ‘Nyash’ hitmaker noted that she draws inspiration from Biblical stories to write her music. Her unapologetic revelation regarding her music may have sparked controversy but she notes that neither God nor Jesus came out to condemn singers of love songs that existed way back. This gives her the inspiration to sing about love because her faith allegedly doesn’t limit her.
I’m born again for life. My dream as a musician never had a limit. I sing for God everywhere I go even when I’ve not released any gospel songs yet but I will because I do not limit myself.
In my understanding, God created music and the other talents we have. Why don’t you ask a footballer why they do not play in Christian leagues only.
When God gives me the talent, I should use it in all ways possible; sing for Him and also sing a love song because he created the love. I believe it is not a sin. In the movies I’ve grown up watching about Bible stories, there were people who sang about love. it was the culture and God would have come out to condemn it. You just have to have a personal relationship with God and not follow the bandwagon,” Gloria Bugiesaid.
As a devoted member of Apostle Grace Lubega’s Phaneroo Fellowship, Gloria Bugie finds solace in the community because she is not judged.
However, when she posts pictures on social media of her attending service, online critics accuse her of attending with the purpose of confusing God’s people.

Although she has not released a gospel song yet, Gloria Bougie revealed that she sings for God everywhere she goes and plans on hitting the studio soon for the gospel track.
