Halima Namakula addresses media criticism of Rema and Eddy Kenzo’s bond, urges respect and understanding

Veteran singer Halima Namakula has called out the media for over-exaggerating the relationship between her daughter Rema Namakula and her ex-lover Eddy Kenzo, claiming it will destroy the friendship and bond between them.

The ex-lovers left the audience and their fans beaming with excitement following their heartwarming interaction at David Lutalo’s recently concluded concert at Serena Hotel. When Rema stepped on stage for her performance, the crowd could not stop screaming Eddy Kenzo’s name who was in the audience.

Rema interestingly seized the moment and humorously called out Kenzo and asked the crowd not to make him uncomfortable. In return, he waved back sending the crowd in a frenzy.

While addressing the incident, Halima Namakula revealed that the two are good friends and are perfectly co-parenting their daughter, Aamal Musuuza. She claimed people were constantly poking into their private business with the aim of creating friction between them to destroy their flourishing bond.

They are good friends; really great friends who know each other very well and come to terms with how they run their family. Now that they are trying to do so, some people are bringing drama and insinuating other things, Halima Namakula noted.

This comes shortly after photos flooded social media showing Eddy Kenzo, his wife, Hon. Nyamotoro Phiona, Rema Namakula, and her husband Dr. Ssebunya Hamza chilling together as they celebrated Maya Musuuza’s 13th birthday.

Halima Namakula revealed that Rema Namakula and Eddy Kenzo parted ways and are currently happily married to their respective partners.

You previously saw a photo of them peacefully attending a birthday together; it is Ugandans that want to bring issues where there are not… Please leave them alone; everyone moved on with their lives and are happy. She (Rema) is very happy with her life and it is very evident. Stop looking for small irrelevant issues, she said.
