Singer Haruna Mubiru has called out singer Daudi Mugema over the recent allegations of witchcraft against Kadongo Kamu star Mathias Walukagga.
In an interview with Spark TV, the veteran artist, who was once Mugema’s boss at Kream Productions, expressed his disappointment about the strong allegations, which he said were damaging Walukagga’s image.
Haruna revealed that Mugema’s accusation of Walukagga sabotaging his career was wrong and issued a warning to Mugema to desist from making such bold statements.
He advised him to always go to his elders in music for counsel, like Mesach Ssemakula, in case he had any complaints about a fellow artist before running to the press.
Please stop talking. Even if it happened, there are some things you have to ignore because that man has a family. Such things follow us up to the end. What you said won’t be going away any time soon. Years from now, all his offspring will read that he practices witchcraft,”Haruna said.
Mugema has an upcoming concert, and among the guest artists he has invited is Haruna Mubiru. The ‘Kitooke’ hitmaker, however, confessed that he would not be supporting him unless he publicly apologizes to Walukagga for the defamation of character.
“You would have approached me if you had a problem the same way you advertised me on your poster even before I agreed. You should apologize to Walukagga. Such allegations could easily affect his campaign and if he doesn’t do that, I will not sing on his show. Walukagga is a friend; a person I deal with,” Haruna warned.
