Hasifah Nalubega, mother to young rapper Felista Di Superstar has called out the stakeholders of the school she teaches on for allegedly refusing to pay her the money she worked for.
Hasifah Nalubega claims that the school owes her Ugx. 1.6M and believes that the headteacher is conniving with a section of people at school to fleece her of her hard-earned money.
Hasifah Nalubega also claimed that the school had a cash round where they contributed 100,000 every month and gave the money to one of them. When it was her turn to receive the money, however, the headteacher in question, Sarah Nagutti deliberately refused to give her the money.
When contacted in a phone interview, Sarah confirmed Hasifah had been their employee for close to three years but disputed her allegations, claiming that she had received all her money.
In a conversation, she asserted that Hasifah Nalubegawas mentally ill and had previously received treatment during holidays before she resigned willingly.
She signed for all her money before the holidays. We even went to the police and she personally signed for her money from the savings group. The problem is, she is mentally unstable and during holidays, she ran mad and went for treatment. She handed in her resignation letter 7 days into the new month, we never sent her away. I do not know what she wants from us, she said.
According to Hasifah, she resigned because the salary was little and not enough to cover her daily expenses and transportation from Entebbe Road to Makindye every day. She is currently looking at starting her own small business where she believes she can save up some money.

The money they pay is very little, that is why I resigned. I rather go back to selling tomatoes where I know I will at least be able to save up something for myself, she said.
