Music Duo Hatim and Dokey Part Ways After 5 Years Of Working Together

Fast-rising music duo Hatim and Dokey have announced their separation after five years of working together. Despite their seemingly successful career, the duo listed financial struggles as the main reason for their split.

In an interview with Dokey, he revealed that their music was not generating sufficient income, despite their significant investments. He explained that they would often spend the little money they were earning to cover the music costs and crew expenses and end up struggling because it was not enough.

The duo’s decision to part ways comes as a surprise to fans who have grown to love their music. However, Dokey expressed his gratitude for the support and encouragement but believed they did not love them enough to support them financially.

Although the split had earlier been initiated by Hatim due to the challenges they faced, Dokey had held onto the hope that their situation would improve. Hatim and Dokey have parted ways amicably, with an understanding that their separation might not be permanent.

Dokey hinted at a possible reunion if they secure funding for their music in the future as they still have unreleased tracks in the studio. For now, each artist is pursuing a solo career, with Dockey planning to release new music soon.

“Music was not returning the same energy we thought we deserved. It was taking us longer than we both could wait. We were not earning going by what we had calculated. The reasons for our split outweighed the reasons for us to stay together,” Dokey said.

Hatim and Dokey are commonly known for songs like Did I Die, Njabatta, Kasirise, Mbaddewo among many others.
