Bruno Kiggundu alias Bruno K has revealed that legendary singer Kabuye Ssemboga applauded him for doing justice to his Ebisanyi song.
Following Eddy Kenzo releasing the official video of Philly Bongole Lutaaya’s Born in Africa rendition, several music critics claimed that the singer’s version lacked several elements.
Bruno K, one of the musicians that have done a number of music covers, claimed that in contrast to Eddy Kenzo, most of his renditions he executed them flawlessly.
These included Juice Juice by Radio and Weasel, Nkwatako by Sheebah, and Bisanyi by Kabuye Ssemboga among others.
He stressed that Before he could redo “Ebisanyi” by the Legend Kabuye Semboga, it took him 7 months of preparation.
After voicing the song’s first verse, he reached out to Kabuye Ssemboga for his review. Glady, Ssemboga liked every aspect of the piece and vowed to give him an extra push by indulging his voice in the second verse.
