On 27th November 2021, Susan Makula and Pastor Aloysius Bugingo organized a traditional function ‘’Kukyala’’ at her parent’s home in Kyebando.
The function was followed by a lavish Introduction Ceremony On 17th December 2021. All the functions were graced by a few close friends and family, in the presence of impenetrable security.
Bujjingo’s action of engaging in a marriage affair before divorcing Teddy Naluswa drew too much attention from all corners of the country, not sparing City Lawyer Male – Kiwanuka Mabirizi and Robert Rutaro Muhairwe.
The duo dragged the couple to court charging them with three accounts contrary to the Marriage Act which states that ”any person who, being unmarried, goes through the ceremony of marriage with a person whom he or she knows to be married to another person, commits an offense and is liable on conviction to imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years.”
According to reports coming in from Bukedde and New Vision, the pastor denied being introduced by Susan Makula to her parents, saying he only showed up as an invited guest.
It should be remembered that Bujjingo and Teddy Naluswa got married on 20th December 2003 through a church marriage at Victory Christian Centre Ndeeba. The couple later fell out following persistent family misunderstandings. Teddy, however, refused to give the husband divorce because of her own reason.
Susan Makula and Pastor Bujjingo are to appear before the court on 21st January 2022 to defend themselves
