I’m struggling to navigate my roles as a father and a star’ – Jose Chameleone reveals

Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone known for his immense success in Uganda’s music industry has publicly acknowledged the challenges he faces as a father. Despite his stardom, the Leone Island boss admits balancing fatherhood and his career is difficult.

In an honest confession, Chameleone revealed that he is struggling to navigate his roles as a father and a celebrity because his children sometimes judge him, perceiving his actions as a desire to show off his fame.

Fatherhood is very challenging for me. I will be honest with you. Putting showbiz aside, I’m struggling to be a father. My kids sometimes think when I behave in some type of way, it is because I’m a star so they remind me that I’m not a star and I should stop thinking that the world is bowing down for me.

It is a big challenge. I’m actually struggling to be a star and a father at the same time. It is a big deal. But slowly by slowly I tell my kids that as they grow, they will see the reasons as to why I struggle like this, he said.

Jose Chameleone’s admission comes amidst his highly publicized separation from his wife Daniella Atim with whom they share five children; Abba, Alfa, Alba, Amma, and Xara.

The couple’s marriage collapsed, and his wife has since relocated to the US together with the children, seeking asylum from domestic violence.
