John Blaq hints at releasing his music album, explains delay

Musician John Blaq has announced that he is soon releasing his first-ever music album, which he says he did for fun.

Despite breaking into the mainstream in 2018, John Blaq struggled to release singles. In an era where artists are releasing albums, the youngster has been inspired to follow the trend.

While explaining his delay, John Blaq, real name John Kasadha, noted that when he had just joined music, most artists were releasing singles because albums rarely sold. The only artists who earned from them were the veterans who used to sell their music to Kasiwukira, who would then distribute it on cassette tapes to be sold by hawkers.

At this point, John Blaq says he writes 3-10 songs a day, and instead of piling up the music, he has decided to compile them into an album. He cannot wait to deliver it to his fans.

“I asked myself why I would waste my time making an album that I will invest in my whole life. I’m just doing it for fun because I can write like 3-10 songs everyday and they are just there.

For the listening party, it will depend on my budget. I’m okay but not rich. I will do what I can because the most important thing is to give people music and I cannot wait,” he said.

In an interview last year, John Blaq, while giving a sneak peek at the much-anticipated album, revealed that he would be unveiling a new sound that many people may not understand. It will feature both singles and collaborations with local and international acts.
