Jose Chameleone over the weekend held his highly anticipated VIP ‘Legend In Gold’ concert at Kampala Serena Hotel and midway through his performance, he posed a question to Zari, sparking concerns about her marital life.
The self-styled boss lady who had received a personal invitation to the event attended the concert noticeably without her husband, Shakib Cham.
As the Leone Island boss took to the stage to perform his version of the late Elly Wamala’s “Nga Bwewakolanga”, he suddenly paused and acknowledged Zari’s presence in the crowd.
In a moment that seemed both unplanned but calculated, Jose Chameleone asked her the whereabouts of Shakib, noting how he invited them as a couple only for Zari to show up alone.
“Zari where did you leave your husband? When I extended my invitation to Zari, I invited her alongside her husband,” Chameleone said, amidst cheers and ululations from the huge crowd.
In response, Zari could be seen indicating in a gesture that Shakib Cham was left sleeping hence her solo attendance at the concert.
Last month, social media users were treated to a series of drama between the estranged couple when Zari jumped on an Instagram live, addressing what went down when her baby daddy, also Tanzanian bongo flava star, Diamond Platnumz made a surprise visit at her South African home to celebrate their daughter Princess Tiffah’s birthday party.
Shakib while narrating the incident, Shakib claimed that Zari informed her about Diamond’s surprise, something he did not have problems with but asked her not to act out of character and post videos that would mock him and set him up for dragging on social media.
Contrary to his request, Zari shared videos rubbing shoulders with Diamond in a manner that Shakib thought was disrespectful. He got angry and refused to pick up her calls and in retaliation, the tipsy Zari jumped on social media exposing their dirty linen and accusing him of how broke he was and was surviving on her money.

This was a huge blow to the couple’s marriage. Since the saga, they have not been seen in public together and whereas netizens think it was a prank to seek social media attention, Shakib narrated how he couldn’t take the disrespect from his wife anymore and didn’t care if they made up or not.
