Musician Jowie Landa has opened up about fellow musicians not attending the burial of her late brother, Martin Kawuki.
Jowy Landa’s brother died on 11th June 2025 after almost a year of fighting for his life in the ICU following being hit by thugs.
He was subsequently laid to rest on Thursday, 12th June, in Luwero District amid significant sorrow from family and friends.
While artists like Nina Roz, Alvin Kizz, Fyno, Nandor Love, Ava Peace, and Acidic Vokoz attended the vigil, only Nandor Love participated in the burial.
While responding to queries about fellow artists not attending her brother’s funeral, Jowy Landa revealed that those who truly cared did attend, acknowledging their busy work schedules.

She stressed that musicians shunning her brother’s hospitalization and burial opened her eyes, and she knows those who truly love her.
Jowy maintains that she is grateful that people who believed in her came through, and wouldn’t be happy seeing those who never turned during her brother’s ailment come through for burial.

The singer claimed that many fellow stars support you in happy moments but abandon you during difficult times, and she has learned it the hard way.
