Gospel artist Judith Babirye has advised Ugandan women living in Canada to give birth to as many children as they possibly can because of the many benefits they are expected to get from the country’s government.
The gospel star ran to Canada after her controversial marriage to fellow MP Musoke Paul crumbled. She welcomed her son in June 2019 at 42 years old and has been enjoying her stay in the country since then.
With good governance and healthcare systems, Judith Babirye spoke to MC Caro and encouraged fellow women to have many children for not only the additional benefits children will get but also to enable Uganda to build a huge community in the country so that they will also command influence in the next ten years.
She gave an example of the Somali community which has hugely expanded because of the high birth rates among their women.
If your are to benefit from this country’s national cake, you have to do this because politics look at numbers. Plus there are very many benefits you can get from having many children. You just know your children will not suffer, she said.
Judith Babirye also encouraged pregnant women to use their resources and apply for a Canadian visa so that they would have their children there.
I encourage all pregnant women with money to consider looking for a Canadian Visa and have their children here. You need to be strategic and plan. Sometimes the visa takes too long to come out but you do not give up, she said.
