Junior Pliers, Bazze Ketta

Junior Pliers offers Ugx 5M bounty for info on Bazze Ketta over plagiarism of his song ‘Sugar Mummy’

Veteran singer Junior Pliers has threatened to take legal action against a new generational artist known as Bazze Ketta who re-recorded his hit song ‘Sugar Mummy’ without his consent.

The original version by Pliers was released in 2000 and was a massive hit on the local music scene, because of its catchy beat, the jam became popular in bars and the media, topping music charts.

Although Pliers took a break from the music scene in 2001, he bounced back with a song he recorded for WBS TV at that time.

Two decades later, Bazze Ketta who is a new act on the music scene plagiarized Plier’s song, word for word in the chorus using the same beats. This triggered Pliers who gave him an ultimatum of two days to either come forward or face legal action.

Junior Pliers went ahead and offered a bounty of Shs. 5 million to whoever had any information on how he could get access to Bazze Ketta.
