Kabako’s Concert: Police Warn Against Bobi Wine’s Attendance

Uganda police have finally cleared Roden Y Kabako to hold his maiden concert after hanging in balance for the past few months.

Kabako will be celebrating 10 years in the music industry with his first-ever major concert tonight and there were reports alleging that it would be canceled by police operatives who thought it was politically affiliated.

Armed with clearance letters from the authorities, Kabako told his fans that he was given the go-ahead to entertain them but was given strict rules and regulations that he should abide by if he wanted to stop police from interrupting them.

The concert will happen at Calendar Hotel, Makindye with doors opening at 10 AM and performances at 6 PM. Kabako was told that all the performances are supposed to end at exactly midnight and if it goes beyond the said time, police will have to use teargas to disperse the crowd.

Kabako is an ardent fan of NUP leader, Bobi Wine and since he attracts a huge crowd around him, Kabako revealed that police warned him not to host Bobi Wine at his concert. He claimed that the authorities threatened to interrupt the concert with teargas if Bobi Wine stepped anywhere at the venue.

Kabako
They have been warning me for the past three months saying that Bobi Wine should not dare come for my concert. But I pray that my show goes well as planned, he said.

He, however, pleaded with the police operatives to avoid mixing politics in his concert because he believes many of them have come to support him as an artist that they love, not because of the political party he subscribes to.
