Kalifah Aganaga confident music career won’t die with failed political career

Bad Character musician Kalifah Aganaga has responded to critics claiming that his music career would fail miserably after his political failure.

Aganaga expressed interest in running for the Kawempe North Member of Parliament position on the FDC ticket but was heavily defeated by the NUP candidate, Counsel Nalukoola.

Many believed his career would come to a halt because he lost a political post. However, in an interview with Galaxy TV, Aganaga revealed that as an established artist, his music would continue uninterrupted.

Aganaga further noted that he is still getting many bookings from across the country, even without a hit song.

“I deal with a different class of people now from different sectors. A career can only go downhill if you don’t have music. I’m a songwriter and producer, and my music will go well. I get bookings in different places. I have been in the music industry for a long time, and I’m no longer at the level that relies on hit songs. I’ve already made my name, and the music is still going strong. I will continue releasing music,” he said.

Kalifah Aganaga also revealed that joining politics was a means of diversifying and seeing if he could do something else outside of the music industry.

“You cannot do music forever. What I did was diversifying in a sense that I have some other things going on in case I leave music,” Kalifah Aganaga spoke to Galaxy media.
