Renowned media personality Faiza Fabz and others have been remanded to Luzira Prison for taking part in the #March2Parliament anti-corruption campaign.
Earlier today, a section of Ugandans expressed their dissatisfaction with the ongoing corruption among government officials by taking part in the cause dubbed March 2 Parliament.
A heavy number of police officers were deployed on the streets of Kampala, and many protestors didn’t survive being arrested and detained at several police stations.
KFM and NTV Uganda presenter Faiza Fabz among her other colleagues were also seized and locked up at Jinja Road Police Station.
They were subsequently arraigned before the court, and charged with cases of being common nuisance, idle, and disorderly.
Faiza Fabz and many others have been remanded to Luzira Prison and are expected to appear before the court on the 30th of July 2024.
