Kiteezi landfill: Judith Nahurira Foundation offers hope to survivors

Under the leadership of Judith “The Boss Lady UK,” a prominent Ugandan philanthropist, humanitarian, and entrepreneur, the Judith Nahurira Foundation has taken significant steps to assist the victims of the recent disaster in Kiteezi.

On Thursday, August 22nd, representatives from the Foundation visited the Red Cross Camp in Kiteezi, where survivors and orphans have sought shelter. In addition to delivering essential supplies such as food and soap, the Foundation has made a noteworthy commitment to providing education for the children who have been orphaned by this tragedy.

This initiative is particularly significant, as Judith “The Boss Lady UK” is the first civilian in Uganda, outside of the Prime Minister’s Office, to extend such long-term support. Her promise to educate over ten children offers a beacon of hope for a more promising future.

“I feel privileged to be able to give back to the community,” stated Judith “The Boss Lady UK.” “These children require hope to break free from the cycle of poverty, and I am dedicated to ensuring they receive an education, allowing their remaining families to concentrate on survival.”

John Cliff Wamala, who leads the Red Cross team at the camp, expressed his appreciation for the Foundation’s involvement. “This is a matter of great concern for many of us here, and we are grateful to Judith for assuming this important responsibility,” he remarked. “We encourage more Ugandans to emulate her example, as it is vital to prepare for the future while addressing the challenges of the present.”
