Singer Laika Music left everyone shocked after she claimed not to know the man who recently gifted her a brand-new Mercedes–Benz GLE.
The singer received the thoughtful surprise as an early birthday gift and the delivery was aired on an episode in season two of Kampala Crème, a reality TV show that she stars in.
According to Laika Music, the luxurious gift is believed to be valued at Shs. 200 million was given to her for free as an upgrade from her 2020 Rav 4 that she was previously driving. What shocked netizens was when she claimed that the gifter was not a close friend, but a random fan of Kampala Crème who was just star-struck.
Laika Music maintained that although they had been in communication with this mysterious man, they were not so close and she had only met him once because he stayed abroad.
He is a friend and he doesn’t even stay here. You do not know the power of people who are star-obsessed. He just saw me on Kampala Crème and decided to give me a better Benz as compared to the ones my fellow cast members have,’ Laika Music said.
Laika denied the allegations that she is in a romantic affair with the man who gifted her the car, emphasizing that she is currently single and enjoying her life as an independent woman.
I’m not related to him or even have anything going on with him. We talk but do not meet physically. We have only met once. I do not have a man and I’m not in a relationship. If you claim you are my man, you come out with evidence,’ Laika noted.
