Ugandan musician Laika Music, real name Laika Umuhoza, has revealed that she does not see eye to eye with Daddy Andre.
During her interview with Galaxy FM, Laika was asked if she would ever work with Daddy Andre, and in her response, she feigned ignorance, questioning whether Daddy Andre was still actively doing music.
In her submission, the singer revealed that she doesn’t consider him a producer because she rarely hears his music playing anywhere.
“Does Daddy Andre even still work? I thought he retired. I don’t know if he still does music or production. I don’t count him as a producer because I do not hear his music so much,” Laika Music noted.
While other artists have desired and actually got the chance to work with Daddy Andre both as a producer and a songwriter, Laika Music revealed that every time she tried reaching out, he was always busy. This gave her the impression that he was no longer doing music, and she had to give up on him.
“Every time I have tried to work with him, he has always acted busy, not available and he feels uninterested; maybe he is just a musician,” she said.
Last year, reports circulated claiming that Laika Music was having an affair with Daddy Andre, a rumour she strongly dismissed. She also made it clear that they were not friends and any dealings between them were simply professional.

They may not be on good terms, but Laika emphasized that there is no bad blood between them and also denied allegations that they might have fallen out after Daddy Andre tried to hit on her.
