Lil Pazo Lunabe has expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards fellow singer Eddy Kenzo for his guidance and support during the early days of his music career.
In a Live session on his TikTok account, the ‘Enkudi’ hitmaker revealed that he holds immense respect for the UNMF president’s contribution to his growth as an artist.
Eddy Kenzo saw me at my lowest, I wasn’t a good musician and I was not even looking good. He took me with him to Jinja and gave me an opportunity to sing at his gig. He told me I had the talent but my appearance was bad and that I had to upgrade my wardrobe. He gave me a chance, Lil Pazo noted.
Lil Pazo Lunabe’s acknowledgment comes after a section of his fans (foot soldiers) pressured him to choose between Eddy Kenzo and Bobi Wine, given their open differences due to their different political beliefs. Lil Pazo has maintained a friendship with both artists, despite their feud.
We have come a long way with him and I have seen what he has become outside his political beliefs. Every time we meet, we have conversations about different things and laugh around, Lil Pazo Lunabe said.
Lil Pazo further emphasized that his relationship with Eddy Kenzo existed before their political disagreements and cannot be defined by them. He values their bond, which he says transcends political beliefs and he asserts that individuals are free to choose their friendships regardless of the political differences.
We have come from far. Why would you want to separate us? He is doing his own thing, same as me. He chose the other side and I’m also in my own world. Everyone loves who they love, this doesn’t take away our friendship. He knows why he chose to go to the other side and when we meet, we talk about different things, not politics, he revealed.
It is not a secret anymore that Bobi Wine and Eddy Kenzo do not see eye-to-eye because of their different political beliefs. Lil Pazo has openly shown his support for Bobi Wine and his closeness to Eddy Kenzo feels like a betrayal to his followers
