Singer Lil Pazo Lunabe, born Mukasa Yasin has encouraged struggling Ugandan artists to explore new and different areas outside the city in case they find themselves fighting for recognition and attention in Kampala.
Lil Pazo Lunabe is one of the few artists who have won favor from music fans in the city and far beyond and he has achieved all this by exploring the different parts of the country and visiting areas he has not been to.
This has helped him move his music in these places resulting in constant bookings on different shows deep in the villages.
The ‘Enkudi’ hitmaker said this to challenge local artists who think they are too big and too urban to be performing in villages; thus sticking in the city where there is too much competition and new artists that keep hitting the scene from time to time.
Lil Pazo Lunabe claims that as a result, their music becomes stagnant and ends up not making any money; something that drives them into depression, therefore forcing them to do drugs as a coping method.

If their career is not going as planned, they lose it. Good thing, I grew up in Masaka and I can stand every situation. When my music career lags behind the way it did after I released ‘Genda Ogule Emotoka’, I try to stay calm.
I keep telling artists that there comes a time when your music and your fame declines woefully. If you feel you are not making enough money in Kampala, hit the villages and try out new places. Even big artists have places they are not known. Just visit these new places, it is not a must to stay in Kampala even when it is not working out.
Take a music tour to places far beyond the city. Personally, I go to these places that many artists cannot go to,” Lil Pazo mentioned during his interview ‘Why I Hate Church’ with Millennials For Christ Ministries, Lil Pazo Lunabe revealed.
