Today is the big day for the long-awaited Eddy Kenzo festival. The festivities are set to take place at Kololo Airstrip, and as you read this, revelers are already pouring into the venue.
Based on the drops making rounds on social media, a number of local artists have endorsed the event and confirmed that they will be performing live.
In the same line, various international artists are expected to be part of the festival, and most of them jetted into the country as early as Thursday.
Zambian singer Mampi made her way into the +256 on Thursday, and she was received by Black Magic Entertainment singer Martha Mukisa.
Tanzanian singer Harmonize and his entourage arrived in the country on Friday and were chauffeured to their hotel in Kenzo’s fleet of cars amid tight security.
Bruce Melodie from Rwanda, Bahati from Kenya, and Matt B World from Los Angeles have all confirmed their attendance and are already in the country.
It should be noted that before Covid-19 arrived in Uganda, Eddy Kenzo had planned to hold his festival on March 28th, 2020.
Upon the government lifting a ban on the night economy, the singer ignited his initially sabotaged plans, and today he looks forward to making history.
