Renowned filmmaker Loukman Ali and journalist Simon Kaggwa Njala shared their funeral wishes after the deaths of two public figures.
They posted on X, saying they prefer simple funerals without extravagance, following the sudden deaths of DJ Bush Baby and Cedric Babu.
Loukman Ali stated he’d rather have a simple “RIP” than burden his family with food and big funeral ceremonies.
He added he lived happily alone and doesn’t understand why death suddenly makes people receive more love than in life. Ali also mentioned he doesn’t expect more than 20 people to attend his funeral, keeping it small and quiet.

Simon Kaggwa Njala also prefers a modest funeral, requesting no flowers and suggesting that trees be planted instead of floral arrangements.
He believes planting trees in his memory will bring peace and joy, like being in heaven with the angels.
